Bat Test Positive For Rabies in Gray County

The Texas Department of Health Services has reported the finding of a bat with rabies in Gray County.
Many Texas panhandle residence to not realize that we do have bats in the area but this is actually the second reported case in the area.
As of now, there have been 423 confirmed cases of rabies in the state this year.
Most of the cases in the panhandle area have been skunks.
