Beto O’Rourke, the Democratic gubernatorial candidate, will be making campaign stops throughout the Texas Panhandle and the surrounding region in the upcoming days.
O’Rourke won the Democratic primary for the state’s Governor positions during March’s primary. O’Rourke will face incumbent Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in the Governor’s race in November.
He has visited Amarillo in mid-December to speak with educators about technical education.
He’s expected to be in six Panhandle towns including Vernon, Childress, on Friday, Canadian, Dalhart, Amarillo on Saturday, and Lubbock on Sunday.
