Brent Clapp Named Sheriff Of Hemphill

There is a new Sheriff in Hemphill County.

Commissioners appointed former Chief Deputy Brent Clapp to the position at their Friday meeting.

Former Sheriff Nathan Lewis was asked to resign after it was revealed that he was investigated by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement for issues with training records for himself and deputies.
