BSA Health System is proud to announce that it is the first hospital in the Texas Panhandle to perform Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements.
The procedure is used to treat patients suffering from aortic stenosis, which is a narrowing or block of a valve in the heart.
More than 2.5 million people ages 75 and above are diagnosed with the condition each year.
It is caused by calcium deposits, birth defects, and scar tissue from untreated strep throat.
