CANYON RECEIVES AWARD

The City of Canyon has won the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for the 2020-2021 Annual Budget.
Canyon’s budget was one of over 1600 participants in the Budget Awards Program reviewed.
The award shows a significant achievement by the City and represents the highest standards of governmental budgeting.
Guidelines used to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operation guide, and a communication device.
The budget Documents must be rated as proficient in all four categories, and in the fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories to receive the award.
