Ceremony being Held To Bring Awareness for Physician Suicide
September 16, 2022 12:15PM CDT

Saturday the 17th is National Physician Suicide Awareness Day, and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is increasing awareness with a wreath-laying ceremony.
The ceremony and moment of silence are sponsored by the Student Wellness Committee and are meant to remind others that physicians are among the highest suicide rates of any profession.
This gathering will be held at 3 pm at 1400 South Coulter near the TTUHSC seal and horse statue on the 16th.
It’s happening the day prior as a reminder to learn the signs, start conversations, and share resources to help those who need them.
