City And Citizens Have Plan For The San Jacinto Neighborhood

The city of Amarillo and citizens of San Jacinto are working hard to make improvements to their neighborhood.
The San Jacinto neighborhood redevelopment plan will target housing, businesses on 6th Street, and safety.
City officials and the citizens of the area believe reducing crime and fixing housing issues will attract more residents to the area.
The first steps will be a safety task force that would involve residents, business owners, the Amarillo Police Department, and other city departments to solve this challenge.
