Tuesday’s regular city council meeting should focus primarily on a few equipment leases and purchases along with adding a 2-acre parcel of land.

Council will consider the acceptance of the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration grant funding for the Safe Streets and Roads for All project. The grant is for 240 thousand dollars and a 60 thousand dollar city match. The SS4A project was created to bring the number of pedestrian and other deaths down in cities across the country.

Nine heavy duty trucks, a new scraper for the landfill and fire department command vehicle will also be considered.

The purchase of just over 2 acres of land located at 2600 Linda Drive in the Paramount/Olsen area for 375 thousand dollars and the addition of a food trailer for the new Santa Fe Depot Pavillion are on the agenda as well.

The meeting is set to begin at 3 p.m. and can be viewed online.
