It appears the interview process is underway for Amarillo’s next City Manager.

Sources tell KGNC the council has pared the candidates down to a final list of six. They will be interviewed during executive work sessions Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. The final three names will be introduced by then, and a meet-and-greet scheduled.

Tuesday’s regular 3pm meeting will include the final draft presentation of the Vision 2045 City Plan. The city council will also officially award the nearly $50 thousand agreement to Baker Tilly to serve as a consultant in the city’s on its effort to prepare changes and amendments to the current City Charter in time for a November ballot. Baker Tilly also served in the search for our new City Manager.

Two public hearings are also on the agenda for Tuesday, along with three board member appointments.
