City of Canyon Names Joseph Price As New City Manager.

The City of Canyon Commissioners Court met yesterday and announced Joseph Price as the new City Manager.

Price has seven years of local government experience and currently serves the City of Borger as the assistant city manager and director of planning and development.

He holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in political science from West Texas A&M University

Price was chosen after the city received 47 applications from 13 states, as well as Canada and Australia.

Former City Manager Randy Chriswell announced his retirement in April, and Jon Behrens was named the interim city manager.
