City Opening Applications For Next Fire Academy Testing

The Amarillo Fire Department is hosting a Civil Service Exam on October 1st.
This test is for entrance into the next AFD Fire Academy beginning in January.
The written exam will be a general aptitude test for math, reading comprehension, and mechanical questions.
Top scores from this test will then be asked to test a Candidate Physical Ability Test, an oral interview, and a background check, physical and drug screening.
The deadline to register is September 28th, and applicants must be between 18 and 35, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid class C License.
