CoA: Wastewater Collection Facility Spill Contained

The City of Amarillo says a spill at the Wastewater Collection Facility near Brickplant Road has been contained.
Officials said the spill was caused by a force main failure from one of the lifts causing an estimated 568,000 gallons of domestic, commercial and industrial wastewater to be spilled.
A disinfectant was placed over the spill that flowed into a dry creek bed northwest of town.
The City did notify the regional office of the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality.
