Conviction Of Jeremy Spielbauer Being Reversed

The conviction of Jeremy Spielbauer is being reversed.

Spielbauer was charged with capital murder for killing his wife, Robin Spielbauer, and will now be granted a new trial According to documents of the Court of Appeals of the Seventh District of Texas.

According to documents, two issues are challenging his conviction, which is that the trial court abused it’s “discretion by venire members” and that he was denied “effective assistance of counsel” during the investigation.

Spielbauer was convicted of the murder in January 2018 and sentenced to life in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
