Seven people were displaced Tuesday afternoon from their home because of a fire.
The blaze happened at 3;45 p.m. at Sanborn Street and North Bivins Street.
Two adults and three children were affected, with the Red Cross on hand to help them with temporary housing.
Several family animals perished in the fire.
Amarillo Fire says they think the fire started around a carport wall, and the Fire Marshals Office is investigating.
The blaze was reported under control within 40 minutes, and the Texas Panhandle Pet Savers has set up a GoFundMe account and they have a list of what the family needs.
