Downtown Women’s Center Receives Lighting Donation

The High Plains Christian Ministry has donated property lighting and installed used yard lamps for the Gratitude House Shelter.
The donation will help to ensure the safety of all women and children in the Center’s Gratitude House Shelter.
The 12 donated lamps will offer more than safety, DWC says they also offer aesthetic beauty.
The Facility was gifted to the Center in 2016 by Baptist Community services, also known as the High Plains Christian Ministries.
The 40 unit apartment complex was no longer in use and the DWC needed more shelter
Every apartment was adopted by a special sponsor who renovated it from top to bottom, with improvements including sheet rock, painting, and furnishing the entire apartment
Today there are 29 women and 44 children housed at the Gratitude House Shelter.
