Dumas New school Campus

School Bells are ringing at two new Dumas elementary schools.

Aging infrastructure at four Dumas Elementaries has persuaded the ISDT to add new schools rather than remodel.

The Hillcrest and Green Acres Elementary schools are combined into the Dumas North Elementary campus.

Each grade level has its own pod on campus with a collaborative room in the middle and each classroom around it. The structure of the pods provides a neat collaborative working place for students.

School officials say everyone is excited to be in the new surroundings and go on to say the new campus will keep the Dumas ISD relevant with a safe and professional environment for students.

The new campus will be able to hold 200 new students, and the Dumas South Elementary, under construction, is set to open in late summer 2024.
