Early Monday Crash Blocks I-40

One person is in the hospital after a head-on collision early Monday morning.
At 1:00 a.m. an SUV was traveling west on Interstate 40 in the eastbound lane of traffic.
The SUV hit a truck tractor head-on causing the truck to hit another semi.
As a result of the crash, the entire lane of traffic was blocked off near Hope Road West of Amarillo.
The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries and the crash is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
