Early Morning Hotel Fire

An early morning hotel fire in Amarillo, Friday morning.
The blaze happened at the Rest Inn Hotel, at East I-40 and Highland Street.
Heavy smoke was coming from a room near a breezeway, with heavy fire also.
The blaze is determined to be coming from the middle of the hotel’s complex.
Everyone was evacuated from the building and no injuries were reported.
Ten fire units and 34 crew members worked the fire and put it out at 5:06 a.m.
