Former Borger Teacher Convicted for Sexually Abusing Students

A former Borger teacher was found guilty on Thursday for two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

The incident occurred while Byron Othen Stiles was a second-grade teacher at Gateway Elementary in Borger. 

One of the victims who is now a 14-year-old girl testified that she was eight-years-old when she was sexually abused by Stiles.

Two other minors testified that they were also sexually abused by Stiles in his classroom.

Stiles was sentenced to 36 years in prison and will eligible for parole in 18 years.
