Rangers Beat Rays

(Arlington, TX) — Rougned Odor and Nick Solak homered as the Rangers beat the Rays 6-4 in Arlington. Delino DeShields had two hits and scored a pair of runs for Texas. Luke Farrell picked up the win in relief. The Rangers improved to 42-and-30 at home.

Burke Starts Tonight For Rangers

A’s Beat Verlander, Astros

(Houston, TX) — Matt Olson hit a two-run homer and the A’s beat the Astros and Justin Verlander 3-2 in Houston. Verlander struck out 11 over six innings in the loss. Jose Altuve homered in defeat. Houston stranded 10 runners and went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position. The Astros have lost three straight for the first time since a five-game skid August 13-August 17.

Cowboys Meet Redskins In Road Test Sunday

Stars Open Training Camp Today

(Frisco, TX) — The Dallas Stars open training camp today. The Stars will play their initial preseason game on Monday against the defending Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues at American Airlines Center. The next night the Stars will play the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul.

A&M Police Investigating Manziel Jersey Theft

(College Station, TX) — University police at Texas A&M are investigating the theft of a Johnny Manziel [[ man-ZELL ]] jersey. They’ve identified a person of interest who allegedly took the uniform off a mannequin at the team’s Hall of Champions museum. The incident took place on August 26th.
