A member of the Hereford medical community is about to get a much-needed facilities upgrade.
Officials broke ground on the new Hereford Veterinary Clinic building, which will serve as an instruction site for 4th-year students at the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine.
The new building will be home to more than 40 students at a time over the course of a four-week instructional period.
Kynan Sturgess, co-owner of the Hereford Veterinary Clinic, says the plan has an estimated cost of $3.5 million and has already been approved by the Hereford Economic Development Corporation.
