Hartley County Chief Deputy Foils Kidnapping of a Amarillo Woman

One man is in jail after assaulting and kidnapping his would-be girlfriend.
The incident happened on Friday night when Israel Trujillo of Clayton New Mexico took his girlfriend from Amarillo in a black Dodge Charger.
Trujillo allegedly assaulted the woman and was driving her back to Clayton against her will.
During the ordeal, the victim was able to call 911 and give dispatchers a description of the vehicle plus her situation.
Chief Deputy of the Hartley County Sheriff’s Department Chanze Fowler located the vehicle and conducted a high-risk traffic stop near Hartley on US Highway 385.
Trujillo was arrested and booked into the Dallam Hartley County Jail for Unlawful Restraint.
