Helping YOU Help The Panhandle

Lots Of Non-Profits Need Our Help These Days

One of the questions I’m being asked fairly often these days is “What can we do?  How can we help?”.  And that feels pretty good.  Americans usually reach out to help one another during difficult times. And it goes without saying that these are very tough times.  Millions of Americans have lost their jobs. And some people are hoarding their supplies and not sharing.  But those of us who feel like helping are the ones who can change all that.

Local organizations who help thousands of Texas Panhandle citizen every week are the High Plains Food Bank and Coffee Memorial Blood Center.  And there are dozens more.

If you are able to scrape together a box of groceries or a few dollars, please call:  (806) 374-8562.

If you are able to give blood and want to know how to go about donating, please call (806) 358-4563.

I know these particular organizations would be extremely grateful for any help you are able to provide!  They do so much for the people who live in the Panhandle, day in and day out, year 365 days a year.  This is a time when many of us feel like there’s nothing we can do.  But helping our neighbors is something we can all do!  Donate you your local church, help our area medical caregivers and first responders, and continue to practice social distancing, sheltering in place, washing our hands, etc.

We will get through this!  We just need to help one another and take care of one another.  It’s the right thing to do.

And stay healthy!
