History Day at Rick Husband Airport Set for Thursday

Amarillo has a long and extensive history in aviation and air travel, dating back more than a century.
This part of Amarillo’s history will be celebrated and on display Thursday as Rick Husband.
Amarillo International Airport celebrates History Day and the public is welcome.
History Day is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Take a step back in time with historical photos and items, hear about the people who made aviation possible in the Texas Panhandle and learn interesting facts about the airport and its history.
History Day will be held at the Airport Conference Rooms at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, 10801 Airport Blvd. Attendees are welcome to come and go at their convenience.
