Home Invasion ends with Homeowner Shot

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a home invasion shooting that occurred on Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the 2900 block of South Pittsburg Street where they found a 19-year-old male in the yard suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim said that he had caught several men wearing masks breaking into his house.
He chased them out and one of the suspects turned and fired a weapon.
The victim was struck by the single shot and was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
