House Fire Determined Arson

A house fire that occurred Tuesday evening has been declared arson.
The Amarillo Fire Department responded to the fire near South Kentucky and Southwest 4th Avenue around 8:45 pm and once on scene crews learned people might have been inside.
The fire was put out and firefighters discovered the family inside the home has escaped to a home closeby.
The Fire Marshalls Office declared the home a total loss and that the cause of the fire was arson.
