JA BizTown To Offer Unique 5th Grade Learning Experience

A new ‘real world’ experience is being made available to area 5th graders thanks to Junior Achievement of the High Plains.

JA BizTown will celebrate its grand opening, Wednesday, August 30, 4pm at the AISD AmTech Campus located at 3901 Plains Boulevard.

Among the many experiences related to how business and the city runs, JA BizTown will give 5th graders the chance to experience in-class learning combined with a day-long visit to a scaled down version of the city of Amarillo, including banking, restaurant management and other retail, public utility and institutions of higher learning. 

Local business leaders and city officials will be on hand for the grand opening.
