January 1, 2020 12:19AM CST
To combat drinking and driving for new years law enforcement will be on patrol looking for drunk drivers.
Anyone who is arrested for driving while intoxicated will be asked to submit a breath or blood test.
If the person refuses the officer will then secure a search warrant for that person’s blood.
Local judges are on call to review and sign the search warrants that the officers present.
A DWI can result in thousands of dollars in legal fees and fines with time in jail.
It can also cost you or someone else life.
