The League of Women Voters is hosting a luncheon to discuss maternal and infant mortality.

 

Director of Public Health in Amarillo Casie Stoughton will steak to the group and describe actions taken by Amarillo Public Health and community efforts to bring infant and maternal mortality rates down.

 

Shadrona Carter from the U.S. Census Bureau will also give the group a brief report on plans for the 2020 Census and the importance of everyone’s participation, as well as the need for part-time census workers.

 

The luncheon will take place Wednesday, November 13th at Dyers BBQ at 140 and Georgia starting at 11:30 am.
