Lipscomb County Crash Kills Darrouzett Man

A two vehicle crash in Lipscomb County has left a Darrouzett man dead. 

Shortly after 7 p.m. Monday, when a 2022 GMC Sierra driven by 34-year-old Andrew Skipper of Booker was traveling east on State Highway 15 about three and a half miles west of Darrouzett when he collided with the back of a John Deer Tractor driven by 72-year-old Dennis Gensman. 

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the tractor had no illuminating placards, which, combined with the low light of the evening, made seeing the tractor difficult.

Gensman was pronounced dead at the scene. Skipper was taken to Ochiltree General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

That accident is still being investigated.
