The 47th District Attorney’s Office announces that the jury found Samuel Eugene Wilson guilty of the murder of Gregory Battee after a five-day trial.

Wilson was found guilty by a Potter County jury.

Police found Battee inside a home on Hayden Street with a gunshot wound to his upper body, and Wilson was identified as one of the suspects in the shooting.

The jury is recommending a 33-year prison sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
