he Amarillo Martin Luther King Day celebration has been moved from Bones Hooks Park, to the Palo Duro Activity Center.

The celebration is Monday, January 15th.

Civic leaders will be present with a welcome by Mayor Cole Stanley.

The Amarillo Independent High School Marching Bands will be featured, along with school dance groups and a children’s painting art gallery parade.

R.J. Soleyjacks, Principal of Hamlet Elementary will give the keynote speech, with Caddyn Toombs speaking at the event.

The theme of this years parade is What Civil Rights Means to Our City
