Mayoral Candidate Files Petition for a recount

Mayoral Candidate Claudette Smith has filed a petition for a recount of votes for the May 1st election.

Official election results showed that Mayor Nelson won with 54% of the vote with Smith only tagging the 29%.

Smiths request is being processed by the City Secretary’s Office.
