Meet Cinder and Smokey the Bear Saturday

Wildcat Bluff Smokey's 80th Birthday
The public is invited to the Wildcat Bluff Discovery Center to celebrate the 80th birthday of Smokey the Bear.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Wildcat Bluff Discovery Center, 2301 North Soncy Road in Amarillo.
Smokey will be joined by special guest, Cinder, making her first public appearance since the porcupine was severely injured in the Smokehouse Creek Fire earlier this year. Cinder has been recovering in the care of the Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
The event will also feature birthday festivities, and meet and greets with Cinder and Smokey.
The program is free and open to all ages.
