Meth Bust In Oldham County

One man is behind bars on federal drug charges after a traffic stop in Oldham County.

On September  18th at 10 am a Department of Public Saftey trooper stopped a 2014 Chrysler for driving in the left lane when not passing, unauthorized tint of the vehicle and a missing license plate.

The driver refused a consent to search the auto and a  K-9 unit was sent out. 

The dog alerted on the vehicle and after a search, nine bundles of methamphetamine was found with an estimated street value of $400,000.

The driver told investigators that he had picked up the meth in Los Angeles. and was transporting it to Houston.

This investigation is still ongoing.
