Michigan Man Dead After Accident In Dallam County

An early morning auto, tractor trailer crash left one man dead in Dallam County.
The wreck happened about 12 miles northwest of Stratford, A 2015 Peterbilt travelling northbound on U.S. 287, when a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu drifted across the center line into the trucks path and struck it head on.
The driver of the Malibu 42 year old Robert Hernandez of Novi, Michigan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dallam County Justice of the Peace two passengers riding in the car were not injured.
The driver of the Peterbilt 44 year old Jennifer Ruddell of Seagoville, Texas, Was transported to the hospital in Dumas , with non-life threatening injuries, The passenger in the truck was not injured.
The Texas Highway Patrol is investigating.
