More Children In Hospital

Amarillo Health experts say they are seeing the most children becoming hospitalized because of Covid 19.

Dr. Brian Weis Of Northwest Texas Healthcare System says they have 5 or 6 children in the hospital with Covid and that’s more than they have seen with recent surges, and those children are unvaccinated.

The children are under age 12 and the vaccine isn’t available to them.

Texas Tech Physicians say they have not seen a vaccinated pediatric patient be admitted to the hospital at all.

Health experts say with school starting soon we will see a surge and they believe the best way to protect the spread is to get those under 12 years old vaccinated.

Health experts say the virus comes in different forms and not everyone gets the same symptoms.
