Motorcycle safety Awareness Month

This is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and the Texas Department of Transportation wants to remind you to look out for motorcycles on the road.

Motorcycle fatalities are on the ris, especially as spring weather is coming on.

TxDOT warns drivers to stay alert, give their is driving full attention, pay special attention at intersections, and take extra care when making a left turn.

TxDOT also says to look twice when changing lanes and give motorcyclists room when passing them. Above all else, they warn drivers to slow down, obey posted speed limits, and drive according to conditions.

National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month is a key component of the Share The Road: Look Twice For Motorcycles initiative.
