Motorcyclist Killed

Amarillo  Police say a 25-year old man was killed last night April 26th in a motorcycle accident.

The single-vehicle wreck happened at 11:00 p.m. at Foothill Drive and Cayman Court.

Officers determined a blue and black Suzuki motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and the driver lost control.

The motorcycle struck a large tree at Cayman Court, and the driver Marcus Leanard Vaught-Pitt, died as a result of his injuries.

The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
