New APD P.I.O

Amarillo has a new Police Public Information Officer.

Corporal Carmela Ogden has been on the force for 16 years.

Ogden was born and raised in Amarillo and started out as a patrolman before being assigned as a Crime Scene Investigator in the APD Special Crimes Unit 

When Special Crimes and Crime scene investigation were rolled into the homicide unit, she stayed in that unit for nine years, before being approached to fill the open P.I.O. position. 

Ogden comes to the position after former P.I.O. Jeb Hilton transferred to become a School Resource Officer
