The Potter County Commissioners Court held an emergency meeting Tuesday afternoon during which it was announced the county is terminating Facilities Director, Nicholas Wade.

The 1pm meeting had a brief opening before Judge Nancy Tanner and the three commissioners in attendance went into Executive Session. All returned about a half hour later.

Commissioner Warren Coble moved to dismiss Wade. The motion was seconded by commissioner H.R. Kelly.

The reason given in chambers for dismissing Wade was “Non-Compliance.” In effect, not executing the directives given.

Judge Tanner and the commissioners then voted to appoint former Facilities Director, Mike Head, to assist them with tasks at hand, including a new building, and others that may arise until a new director is named.

Both votes taken passed 4-0.
