First Responders play an important role in an emergency. What you may not know is that you can help as well as a member of the Community Emergency Response Team.

The Amarillo Office of Emergency Management is offering a 4-day CERT Academy each Saturday in April.

Participants will gain the skills and knowledge needed to help in a community emergency.

CERT is a volunteer program that trains individuals in basic disaster preparedness and response skills.

Learn how you can take part in this academy by visiting the city’s website, amarillo.gov.
