Officers Ready for the I-40 Challenge Operation

Law enforcement agencies across the country are gearing up to take part in the I-40 Challenge during the Thanksgiving holiday.
In Amarillo, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Amarillo Police Department, and the Potter County Sheriff’s Department will be taking part in the operation.
The challenge is to reduce fatal crashes since it has been 19 years since the State of Texas had a day without a fatality on a public highway.
To combat this issue officers will be out in force patrolling the roads at the height of holiday travel.
