A man from Fritch is dead after a three-vehicle wreck near Stratford.

Around 6:15 pm on Friday, 68-year-old David Hall was driving a 2001 Dodge Stratus was traveling southbound on US 287 when he attempted to pass 2 other vehicles.

Hall went through a patch of water and started to hydroplane, causing him to hit a Chevy Silverado towing a trailer and a Dodge Ram 3500.

Hall was pronounced dead on the scene by Sherman County Justice of the Peace Brenda Acker was not wearing his seatbelt.

The driver and passenger of the Silverado were not injured.

The driver of the Dodge was taken to the Moore County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
