PARD To Close, Winterize Park Restrooms

The City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department will begin closing and winterizing park restrooms November 13.
According to PARD Director Michael Kashuba, the cold weather and freezing temperatures can damage pipes and taking this measure is the best way to prevent damage. He adds other damage is often created by homeless individuals.
The park restrooms will reopen next Spring.
