Public Health Department Hosting Zumbathon Resource and Health Fair

The City of Amarillo’s Public Health Department is hosting a Zumbathon event in recognition of National Latino HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

Zumbathon is a resource and health fair that is open to the public from 9 am to noon on Saturday, October 19th at the Civic Center North Exhibit Hall.

Services available include free and confidential rapid HIV and syphilis testing (with results available the same day), vendor booths and resource fair, BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar, osteoporosis screenings, medication safety, tobacco cessation, diabetes risk education, COPD screenings, and adult flu shots. In addition, there will be information available for women regarding how to self-screen for breast cancer.
