With the revitalization of downtown, both foot and vehicle traffic is up.

In an effort to keep the public safe  Amarillo City officials are hosting a meeting to discuss proposals to slow traffic south of downtown.

The meeting will talk about installing traffic calming devices, such as yield and stop signs at Harrison and Tyler Streets between southwest 15th and 34th Avenues.

You can attend on Tuesday, November 12th at 7 pm in Wesley Hall at the Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 South Polk Steet.
