Quanah Parker To Be Recognized Thanks To The Governors Office And City Council

A historic figure in the Texas Panhandle was Honored at Tuesday’s Amarillo City Council Meeting.

The 2nd Saturday of September will now be recognized as Quanah Parker Day thanks to the Council, The State of Texas and Governor’s Office.

Great-granddaughter of Quannah Parker, Nancy Boles, about the proclamation.

King Hill, whose father, Jack Hill, sculpted Quanah Parker was also presented with the proclamation.
