Rail Safety Week

On Tuesday, September 22-28, the Amarillo Police Department, the Amtrak Police Department, and Operation Lifesaver, will participate in “Operation Clear Track,” along with more than 600 law enforcement agencies nationwide.
Rail Safety Week raises awareness and enforce state railroad grade crossing and trespassing laws an dis the single largest rail safety lawn enforcement initiative in the US.
During “Operation Clear Track,” Amarillo PD Motors Officers will be stationed at targeted railroad grade crossing locations to issue citations or warnings to violators.
