Region 16’s Education Service Center Names New Executive Director

Region 16’s Education Service Center in Amarillo is going to be under new leadership.
Following the retirement of Ray Cogburn, the incoming executive director is no stranger to the Texas Panhandle and is eager to embrace the challenges ahead.
Tanya Larkin is starting her 28th year in education and At Region 16 with the focus on helping all teachers and staff.
She’s been served as a teacher, a principal and a superintendent.
She believes the secret to being a great educator is to never stop learning and transfer a love for knowledge onto your students.
The first official day on the job for Tonya Larkin is on August 16.
Pampa ISD is now looking for a replacement for Larkins old position.as superintendent.
